ALTERNATIVE LIVESTOCK HARVEST TAG REQUEST FORM
Please refer to the following instructions to apply for harvest tags for the upcoming season. Each tag cost $5.00. You can order as many as you like. Be sure to order only enough for the season because the tags are non refundable. You can always order more tags later; just copy this form and send it to the office along with your payment. Also, your license renewal must be paid for in order to receive tags.

§1719. Harvesting or Killing of Farm-Raised Alternative Livestock

A. Farm-raised white tail deer shall be harvested by killing only from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset during the period of October 1st through January 31st of the following year, as established by the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission.

§1709. Fees

A. Farm-raised Alternative Livestock Tag Fee

1.Each farm-raised alternative livestock harvested of killed shall have a farm-raised tag attached to the left ear or left antler of the carcass at the time of kill and the tag shall remain with the carcass at all times, except as provided in §1507.C.3.

2. The farm-raised alternative livestock tag shall be provided by the department at a cost of $5 per tag.

A link for online payments will be provided after submission, or checks should be made payable to the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry and mailed to 5825 Florida Blvd., Suite 1003, Baton Rouge, LA 70806. Please provide a copy of submission with check if mailing in payment.
